Kieran Schmitt
Executive Director
Kieran founded The People and the Pen to give students, organizers, and researchers space to advance policy rooted in community experience. His work centers cooperative federalism, education equity, and accountable governance.

Each volume features writers, artists, and policy thinkers whose backgrounds span organizing, academic research, public service, and grassroots storytelling. Contributor bios accompany every published piece.
